Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge

Only an hours drive from Nairobi, Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge is located in a sylvan of natural acacia woodland. The lodge's grounds are visited by a wide variety of birds and wildlife.

It is an ideal holiday, conference, meeting, banqueting and wedding venue and is close to the Hells Gate National Park with spectacular gorges and hot springs and the Longonot National Park.


The lodge features a heated swimming pool, gift shop and lake frontage with direct access from the lodge to a private jetty. Accommodation is in well furnished rooms with ceiling fans, en-suite shower and toilet plus a comfortable sitting area.

Nature and bird walks along the lake are some of the activities offered by the lodge in addition to tennis, biking, and a fitness centre with the latest techno gym equipment, massage, sauna and steam bath.

They are clustered in blocks of 10 rooms, with 6 on the ground flour and 4 on the top.

Loldia House

Loldia House, built in 1940, is an old fashioned stone house with views across Lake Naivasha and lies on a supremely peaceful setting sheltered by giant wild fig trees and surrounded by lawns and flowering shrubs.
It can house up to 10 guests in its beautiful main house and cottage. The rooms at Loldia House are attractively decorated and are cool and pleasant with high ceilings and lovely old windows.


Loldia has a wide range of activities to choose from, including walks in the estate guided by a naturalist, for birds, plants and mammals, boat trips on the Lake, night drives, trips to Lakes Nakuru, Bogoria or Hell's Gate, visit to Crater Lake sanctuary and visits to a local primary school, which guests at
the house may choose to support.

Imperial Airways flying boat service from Durban to London.

The Old Colonial architecture is solid and comfortable with accommodation in rooms and cottages set in 12 hectares of green lawns shaded by mature acacias and spreading fever trees. Lake Naivasha Country Clubs public rooms are elegant and cool.

The residents' lounge has a massive fireplace and large bay windows. The bar is cozy and adjoins an immaculately equipped snooker. Lake Naivasha is the focus of activity.

There's good fishing for black bass and tilapia and a boat trip during the day is recommended for a close up of Naivasha's remarkable variety of birdlife and its hippo colonies.

Lake Naivasha Resort

Lake Naivasha Resort, formerly an English colonial farm house, is now a small but a luxurious hotel on the shores of Lake Naivasha. Owned and managed by the same company as Lake Nakuru and Lake Elementaita Lodges, it enjoys the same exclusive level of service and cuisine as its larger and more

The 20 twin and double rooms are set back amongst the trees, while the white washed central building with its bay windows, terrace and living room featuring an original open fire-place give guests a taste of the traditional colonial atmosphere.
